A Life of Priorities

When I was a young girl no one would have thought that I was destined to become a passionate leader.

As a matter of fact, one of my grade school teachers thought I did not have the education, nor did I have the desire. He felt I would have been, just as happy playing sports for the rest of my life.

Little did he know I had my own ideas of what I wanted to do with my life.

Being a Christian, I prayed nightly to have God guide me in the direction I was destined for.

Like others before me, I had to learn to prioritize and set goals and that I could not just go randomly along without an endpoint or destination.

I had to learn how to put first things first.

As time went on, it became very apparent that my behavior and some of the decisions I had made were not only irrational, but they kept me from moving in a forward direction.

As the saying goes “the light went on” in my head and I made a decision, that no matter where I was living, or how old I was, I was going to get my degree in Business Management and Administration.

Fifteen years year’s later, my long term goal came to fruition and I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
