Are You Afraid of Change
Above The Crowd
In my morning reading in “Leadership Promises For Every Day” by John C. Maxwell he addresses Roman 12:2, “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
Every day is a new learning experience. I’m sure you have heard this comment before. Every day we are learning, teaching and sharing with others.
Growing is a good thing, but relatively few people actually dedicate themselves to the process.
Why not? Because growth requires change, and change is hard for most people to accept. But we all know, growth is impossible without change.
Most people fight change.
“Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing themselves.” ~ Leo Tolstoy
Ironically, change is inevitable.
Get a life folks.
We must ALL deal with it, like it or not. On the flip side, growth is optional. You have a choice you can fight it or grow.
People that decide to fight it will never reach their potential.
Making the decision to change, from being an occasional learner to someone dedicated who is responsible for their personal growth is a tough decision also.
This is exactly why I have committed to writing articles five days a week. I made the change and am responsible for my personal growth.
Don’t become the person who, when they get their diploma or degree that says “Thank goodness that is over with, and I’m done learning.”
Instead, become the person who continues to grow daily by learning as much as you can. Graduate to being above the crowd.
I am a firm believer in learning something new every day. If I wasn’t, I would not be where I am today.
