Become the Force
I received this e-mail from a fellow marketer this morning and it grabbed my attention:
“‘May the Force be with you’ is charming but it’s not important. What’s important is that you become the Force — for yourself and perhaps for other people.” — Harrison Ford
To become the Force, you have to:
· see the end goal before it is actually visible
· take the action steps each day moving you closer to your goals
· create the motivation and drive to act whether you feel like it or not
· inspire others to want to do their best and be a part of your vision
Be the Force for you and others, Live large and awesome! ~
Kevin Driscoll
Ok, so what is so important about this quote? Good question.
As most of my friends and readers know I am a blogger and former Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES), in Conway SC and tell ALL of my clients, friends, family and anyone who wants to know what makes me different, “it is my vision and passion to serve the senior community and that service is number 1 in my book.”
As a former real estate agent in the Greater Myrtle Beach area my responsibility was to make it the best journey for my Clients by providing them with up to date information on the real estate market.
So, how did I do this?
Have good values and be compassionate about what you do. My skill sets consists of the following:
1. Have a plan
2. Be a good listener.
3. Put my Clients wants and needs before mine.
4. Be compassionate.
5. Be on time.
6. Be the problem solver
7. Mindset.
8. Know my market.
Real estate is not the kind of job where you just show up and punch the lock. It is not a 9 to 5 job. You must be on your toes at all times to serve your clients and provide them with what they want.
As the quote indicates the “Force within you’ is charming but it’s not important. What’s important is that you become the Force — for yourself and perhaps for other people.”
Become the force, be yourself, service your clients, friends and family with respect and your success will be returned to you ten-fold.
It’s not about the money; it’s about how you treat others. I have continued to maintain these work ethics, in no matter what I do.
I am a public servant; it is my responsibility to help people reach their goals.
