How Do People Find Me?

The Internet plays a dominate role in today’s market place regardless of what type of business you are in. As entrepreneurs we must brand ourselves and our business everyday so that people can find us and make our businesses grow.

I recently received a call from a marketing company that wanted to assist me in marketing myself and my company.

There first question was “do you know how people find you on the Internet?”

My response was, “sure they Google my name, my web site address, and Realtor in Conway SC.”

To that the lights went on and I realized that I really did not know how people find me or that my assumption was very shallow.

The answer really was “they can’t find me!”

The key words I thought were sufficient weren’t and as a result I was not getting the traffic I needed to support my business and be profitable.

So I started searching my competitor’s sites to see how they were marketing themselves and I wasn’t. Below is a short list of places where people can find me:

This list is a living document and is crucial to the success of any business. This is now part of my daily routine — be sure that people can find me on the Internet.

Now that I have retired from real estate professional and have entered the next step of my journey, it is even more imperative that I am on top of marketing myself.

Finding new ways to market myself and my business is a daily task.
