My response to that is — ABSOLUTELY

Fifteen years ago my youngest brother Matt was told his heart was not functioning at 100% capacity, he could no longer work heavy construction and that he would eventually have to have a heart transplant.

Right after Hurricane Katrina he had a calling to go to Biloxi to help people that were misplaced from their homes. So he packed up his family, wife, four children, dog and all their worldly possessions.

They were there for three years. After completing his assignment in Biloxi they returned home, to Michigan.

The last couple of years he has been slowly going downhill and spent the last five months in the hospital hoping and praying for a heart. While waiting, the effect on the rest of his body was taking a toll and other organs were also being affected.

On March 11th he was told that his body is not healthy enough and that there was no way he could handle organ transplants. He was at stage 4 heart failure and he needed a new heart, new kidney, and a new liver. Even if some how they were to find these organs his body wouldn’t accept them.
