My Why’s
My Why’s are what makes me get out of bed every morning.
I want to be happy and make a comfortable life for my family and myself. In order for me to do this I will need additional money.
After thirty-seven years of working for Corporate America companies all I have are memories and some plaques.
Sixteen years ago I got into the real estate business because it was something I always wanted to do. I enjoy the business, working with people, building relationships and creating new friendship’s, but the peaks and valleys are, at times, very overwhelming.
I came from a blue-collar family and my Father worked extremely hard to provide for the family and Mom stayed home to take care of the family and house.
I decide a long time ago that this was not the life for me. I was an average student in school but I had this goal that someday I would have a college education and it would open up doors for me that I would never have believed. With being the oldest of five children there was no way my parents could afford to send me to college.
During the next 30 years I was taking classes here and there but never getting ahead. So I set a goal that no matter how old I was I would check this off of my Bucket List. After eight years going to night school, persistence and perseverance I prevailed and in September of 1994, I completed my college education and received my Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration and Management.
Even though I had received my degree I have and always will be a “long-term learner.” I am learning every day through the people I surround myself with to my daily readings. As a result, I have formed some core values and they are the foundation for my why.
Below are my why’s:
· I want to get out of the J.O.B. (Just Over Broke) mode
· I want to be able to take my family on vacations when we want to and for however long they may be.
· I want to provide a better life, less stressful, for family and myself.
· I want to be financially free and not have to worry about how I will be able pay bills and save money.
· I want to get out of the working from pay check to pay check syndrome.
· I want to create a trust fund for my grandchildren.
· I want to build a nest egg/emergency fund.
· I want to be able to visit my family whenever I want instead of someday.
· I want to work smarter not harder.
Do you know YOUR WHY?
