Looking at Life through a Mirror

As I sit here looking out my window, watching the clouds roll in on this beautiful Easter Sunday thinking about what my Family and I did on Easter Sundays.

As a young girl, I recall the Easter basket hunts in the morning, getting dressed up in our new dresses, bonnets and shoes; the family going to church and then off to Grandma and Grandpa’s for dinner, along with the rest of the extended family. Since I was the oldest grandchild and my Father was the oldest of 13 that was a lot of people.

As time went on our most memorable Easter’s were spent with our very close friends and soul mates, Tom and Sue Hilley, from Woodbridge VA.

From 1990 until 2002, our Easter Sunday started with breakfast at the country club, a round of golf, dinner at their house and then playing games and cards.

These types of people only walk into your life once and you know that no matter what is said between you it never goes outside that circle. No matter what, you are always there for one another, through good times and the bad.

Good friends come into your life for a reason … Not just a season.

My how time changes everything.
