Yes, Rome wasn’t built in a day. What a profound statement.

In all of the years I worked in corporate America and the U.S. Government, thirty-one years to be exact, I was taught that your annual goals had to measurable and quantifiable.

So at the end of the year you were required to establish your goals for the short term (annually) and long term (three to five-year plans). These goals also had to be measurable and you needed to track and report to upper management your success or failure monthly.

I have carried over this mentality, mindset and actions in both my real estate and network marketing business.

Until this past year, I decided there had to be a better way and I needed something that was more pertinent and easier to accomplish.

A dear friend of mine, in my Internet Networking Group (ING), stated how she, like I, felt overwhelmed and frustrated in managing multiple tasks in her business until she recently read a book “The 12 Week Year Get More Done in 12 Weeks Than Others Do In 12 Months” by Brian P. Moran and Michael Lennington.

So, right after our meeting I ordered the book from Amazon and started reading it immediately upon receipt.

The 12 Year Week is a process, used in the sports industry and is now being applied to business and everyday lives. It is centered on helping, businesses and individuals accomplish more in less time.

Many of us, myself included, found a gap between what we should be doing vs. what we were actually doing.

As a result, I got very frustrated and overwhelmed with not being able to accomplish the goals I had set-up for myself or my business.

This gap keeps us from accomplishing what we are capable of. This was definitely an Ah-ha moment for me because I had always been basing things on my accomplishments rather than on what I was capable of.

This process is designed for individuals and companies that want to accomplish more than others do in a year. It is broken down into four 12 week years with the 13th week being the period of review, analyzing and setting up the next 12 week year.

Upon completion of reading I am implemented this theory into my business to accomplish more, gain control and leverage of my actions to meet my goals for 2017.
