So What Exactly Is Re-Invention?
I’m in the process of reading the book “Never Too Late Your Roadmap to Reinvention (without getting lost along the way)” by Claire Cook. Claire is a former editor and most of her novels are on reinvention.
Not sure how or why I picked up this book, but on the very first page it intrigue me immensely when she states:
“I never set out to try to become the mother of reinvention and it feels like we all muddling along trying to figure out how to get to that life we really thought we’d be living by now.”
She goes on to say “ perhaps the best thing I have to offer is that I made every mistake in the book and came so incredibly close to dust off the that buried dream of mine. And now her I am, living the life I almost missed.”
So what exactly is “reinvention?”
Merriam Webster defines reinvention as “1: to make as if for the first time something already invented <reinvent the wheel> 2: to remake or redo completely.”
I read an article sometime back “Ways to Reinvent Yourself” in Success Magazine. And now I find myself in the process of reinventing me, sometimes referred to as transformation. When we hit the reset button in our lives we are overhauling what we believe and how we do our jobs.
