Why Do I Blog?
So, Why Do I Blog? Great question … and I’m so glad you asked.
Blogging is not only my passion … it is My Voice on the Internet ~ Jill C Klunk
Today, I’ve decided it’s to dust off a blog I wrote a couple of years ago. Writing a blog is not anything new or different — It is the form of writing I have chosen to express myself while helping others overcome their problems; establish myself as an authority; enhance the lives of those I touch and even make money.
My experience with blogging hasn’t always been good. There have been a lot of ups and downs, but with proper training, support of my fellow bloggers and perseverance I have learned to trust myself, share my stories, build relationships with my audience and with others in this community.
When I first started blogging, I didn’t know squat about it nor did I realize the impact it would have on my life.
As far as I was concerned, it was a way to get my name online (branding) and share with my audience on why they should work with me when buying a home in Conway SC.
Needless to say, my audience enjoyed my monthly reports, newsletters and aided in gaining their respect, trust and business.
Stories have always been an integral part of our culture for years. Telling stories has been one of our most fundamental communication methods in history.
Stories can be told in many forms the Bible, ballet, verbally, audio, films, to name a few. Without storytelling, traditions would die out; life would be less fun; history would not be passed on from generation to generation.
Through time, stories have been passed on by our fore fathers and will always be the back bone of our culture. Storytelling is a form of expressing ourselves and has played a major part in the development of our brains.
Yet I am here to tell you that I have succeeded despite the roundabout, stop-and-start route I’ve taken through life.
With the example of my hardworking parents, and my own dogged persistence and openness to change, I’ve done well in management, real estate, and now in Attraction Marketing (blogging).
Fast forward to today. I am a blogger and share my stories and experiences with my audience and clients. It is about telling stories (blogging daily), sharing with others (telling), gaining their trust and getting paid.
I’m a boomer enjoying life and work. And now, finally, both are on my own terms.
